Last year, Bajaj Auto announced of Bajaj’s upcoming CNG bike plans to introduce in marking its entry into the CNG segment. Pictures have surfaced during the testing phase, indicating an early launch. And perhaps it will appear in front of you in the coming year.
CNG bike cylinder setup
Similar to cars, CNG motorbikes will be powered by compact CNG cylinders. Which will be located under the seat used for cylinder setup and will contain a CNG valve for fuel filling. A petrol fuel tank will also be included for emergency purposes. So you will be able to it when the CNG runs out.
Changing the fuel on a CNG bike from gasoline to CNG
Like CNG cars, the bike will also have a blue switch installed on the switchgear that allows smooth transitions between fuel and CNG modes.
Predicted features and design of the CNG bike
The following characteristics are anticipated for the forthcoming CNG bike:
- Handlebar with tow gear shifter and knuckle guard hill
- Front leg guard and rear saree guard; upswept exhaust; large tire hugger
- mid-set digital instrument cluster with footpegs
- There is a single shock absorber at the back and telescopic suspension up front.
- There is a front disc braking system and a rear drum braking system.
- Amount and pricing expectations
Bajaj Auto might introduce its first 100 or 110 cc CNG motorcycle. It is anticipated to cost up to Rs 1 lakh in order to satisfy consumer demands. It might even be less than this. Concrete details, however, won’t be accessible until the corporation makes an official statement.
